An employee who, because of a disability, cannot perform the full range of duties at the required competence for their class of work and meets the disability support pension impairment criteria (other than an existing employee with a workers compensation or rehabilitation claim) may be paid a percentage of the relevant minimum wage equal to their assessed capacity, from 10% to 90% in 10-point steps. The weekly amount paid must not be less than the minimum in clause E.4.2 of the current award (consolidated to 1 July 2026, read 30 September 2026). An employee assessed at 10% must be given a high level of support and assistance. The percentage applies only to the minimum wage; all other conditions apply pro rata.
