To classify or reclassify an employee, the employer must place them at the appropriate grade where they hold the qualification recognised as the minimum training requirement for that grade and they use, or will need to use, the knowledge and skills that qualification gives for work at that level. The grades are described in Schedule A.2 (Electrical worker grades 1 to 10), and the classification sets the clause 16.2 minimum rate.
