After giving notice of termination for redundancy, the employer must allow the employee up to one day off without loss of pay in each week of the s 117(3) minimum notice period to seek other work. If more than one day is taken, the employer may ask for proof of attendance at an interview, and a statutory declaration is enough; an employee who fails to provide it when asked is not paid for the time off. This replaces the clause 30.2 entitlement.
