Section 4: Fixtures, fittings and equipment – AS 4674-2004 Design, Construction and Fit-out of Food Premises

AS 4674-2004 Design, Construction and Fit-out of Food Premises 4.3.1: 4.3.1 Installation of equipment

Equipment is movable for cleaning (by one person, on wheels, castors or legs or sitting on a surface), built into walls with the enclosure fully vermin proofed, butted against walls or other equipment with the joints sealed, installed with the clearances in Figure 4.4 (150 mm from walls and other equipment for items up to 1200 mm long, 300 mm for 1200 to 2400 mm, 450 mm for longer, where both ends are accessible), or set on a plinth it overhangs. For equipment that is hard to move, clearance is left so the area around and beneath it can be cleaned without moving it.
