Under Amendment 1, all timber used under the Standard must conform: visually graded sawn timber to AS 2082 or AS 2858; mechanically graded timber to AS/NZS 1748.1; proof-graded timber to AS 3519; structural plywood, AS/NZS 2269.0; structural LVL, AS/NZS 4357.0; glulam, AS/NZS 1328.1; round timber, AS 3818.11 or AS 3818.3; timber I-joists to ISO 22389-1. Other products or grades may have properties set by testing and evaluation consistent with the AS/NZS 4063 series, with duration-of-load factors from authoritative research and attention to adhesive durability.
