Every doorway must show at least 30 % luminance contrast between door leaf and jamb, door leaf and adjacent wall, architrave and wall, door leaf and architrave, or door jamb and adjacent wall, over a contrasting band at least 50 mm wide, so people with low vision can find the doorway (Appendix B describes how contrast is determined).
