AML/CTF Rules 2025 (Australia) R8-4: Beneficiary and intermediary institutions: information to monitor and to pass on by transfer type

A beneficiary institution must take reasonable steps to check that it actually received payer information, the payee's full name and tracing information, or the reduced sets for domestic clearing transfers, batches, merchant payments and refunds, ATM withdrawals and incoming international transfers arriving through BECS; transfers from a self-hosted wallet require the full set. An intermediary institution must monitor for the corresponding information and pass on what it received from the previous institution in the chain.
