Part 6 Divisions 1 and 2: Initial customer due diligence minimums and delayed verification – AML/CTF Rules 2025 (Australia)

AML/CTF Rules 2025 (Australia) R6-4: Minimum KYC for government bodies and for non-individuals acting for or on behalf of customers

What does R6-4 require?

For a government body the entity must collect at least its name and other names, the country or part of a country under whose law it is established, any identifier, principal place of operations, evidence of existence and the individuals with primary governance responsibility, plus information about its operations. Where a non-individual acts on behalf of a customer, or the customer receives the service on behalf of a non-individual, the entity must collect the identity information that would be required if that person were itself the customer.
