Aged Care Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) Provider Guidance not-p1-notice: Give the Priority 1 notice within 24 hours with the required content

On becoming aware of a reportable incident the provider has reasonable grounds to believe is Priority 1, it gives the Commissioner a written notice in the approved form within 24 hours covering: provider name and contact details; the kind of incident and the harm caused or reasonably expected and its consequences if known; immediate actions to keep people safe, including whether police or other bodies were told; further actions proposed; the notifier's name, position and contact; time, date and place if known; those directly involved; and the cognition level of affected individuals if known. Anything not available within 24 hours is left out and supplied later. Notices are lodged through the My Aged Care provider portal.
