Aged Care Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) Provider Guidance ims-manage: Manage each incident through the system with support, involvement and open disclosure

The provider manages an incident in line with its system: assesses and provides the support and assistance affected people need, works out and carries out how each affected person or their supporter or advocate is involved in managing and resolving it, and uses an open disclosure process. The Commission stresses immediate safety first, checking for further hazards, taking every report seriously including from people with cognitive impairment, and timely and honest disclosure.
