Regular audits of practices such as environmental cleaning, aseptic technique, hand hygiene and PPE use identify what to improve, and are effective only when results go back to the audited workers and others to encourage learning. The overall system is also evaluated for whether its objectives are met, with measures to improve IPC culture.
