World Bank Group General EHS Guidelines 3.7: 3.7 Emergency preparedness and response

Facilities prepare for emergencies, meaning unplanned events where operations lose or could lose control with risk to health, property or the environment inside the facility or in the community. They maintain an emergency plan covering organisation, communications, resources, emergency funding, fire services and medical services, with coordination with local authorities and the community, train personnel at least annually (more often with specialised hazards), and run desktop and response exercises with debriefing and plan updates, with tested contact lists and facilities.
