Victoria Owners Corporations Act 2006
Part 7: Meetings, voting, proxies and resolutions – Victoria Owners Corporations Act 2006

Victoria Owners Corporations Act 2006 83-90: Ballots, one vote per lot, voting on resolutions and ballot resolutions

What does 83-90 require?

A ballot may be arranged by the committee, the secretary or the manager with the notice, voting paper and return arrangements sections 84 to 86 require. For any resolution there is one vote for each lot, whether at a meeting or by ballot; voting weight for special and unanimous resolutions follows lot entitlement where a poll or ballot is taken. The chairperson has no casting vote unless the rules provide otherwise (section 89A), and a lot owner whose fees are in arrears may be excluded from voting on ordinary resolutions as section 89B provides.
