A person granted an exemption must observe every term and condition attached to it. The Authority may have set conditions on risk controls, monitoring, health monitoring, records, training, systems of work, reporting, quantity limits, who may do the work, permitted activities, notice to affected persons and time limits (r 544(2)). Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units for an individual and 500 for a body corporate; it is an infringement offence (Schedule 20 item 54).
