Subject to the r 342 exemptions, an employer must arrange construction induction training for any employee engaged to do construction work who lacks a current construction induction card. The training must be completed before the person starts construction work and must be delivered by a construction RTO. A card lapses once its holder goes 2 consecutive years without doing construction work (r 349). The general s 21(2)(e) training duty also applies. Act compliance is through ss 21 and 23.
