Where returning an owner or warranty registration card is a condition of coverage, the warranty says so; where the card looks like a condition but is not one, the warranty says it is not. Under a full warranty a registration card cannot be made a condition of performance (700.7); the card may be offered only as one way to prove the purchase date, with a notice that not returning it does not affect warranty rights.
