US FDA Food Labeling Regulations (21 CFR Part 101)
Subpart A: General provisions (principal display panel, information panel, identity, ingredients, name and place of business, nutrition labeling, warnings, misbranding) – US FDA Food Labeling Regulations (21 CFR Part 101)

US FDA Food Labeling Regulations (21 CFR Part 101) 101.2: Information panel: placement of ingredients, name and place of business and nutrition labeling immediately to the right of the PDP, together without intervening material, in type at least one-sixteenth inch, with the small-package and intervening-material rules (101.2)

The information panel is the panel immediately to the right of the PDP (or the next panel to the right if that one is unusable, or any panel adjacent to the PDP on certain shapes). Everything Part 101 requires on a food's label or labeling (other than the identity and net quantity on the PDP) must appear either on the PDP or on the information panel, and the ingredient statement, name and place of business and nutrition labeling must appear on the same panel without other intervening printed matter (other than the UPC code and certain permitted information), in letters at least one-sixteenth inch in height based on the lowercase 'o' (one thirty-second inch for packages with a total surface area of 12 square inches or less), in a type size and style, contrasting background and prominence that make it conspicuous and easily legible.
