What does 7.1.1.9 require?

A process to assess, identify and record whether a software update will affect any type approved system, considering whether it alters the parameters defining the systems it may affect or the parameters used to type approve them. The Interpretation Document: parameters mean the type approval parameters, not software parameters; affect means a change requiring an extension or new approval; the assessment asks whether the update could change the outcome of the approval test under its conditions, with the evidence needed for the conclusion. This is the process 7.1.4 relies on.
