UK ONR Cyber Security and Information Assurance (CSIA) for Nuclear Facilities 7.4-EMS: TEMPEST and electromagnetic security

Where controlled space does not already prevent it, dutyholders consider TEMPEST and electromagnetic compromise in risk assessments and limit unintentional emanations that could expose SNI. They prevent crosstalk between systems of different sensitivity and interference where SNI cabling runs near power lines, for example by mains filtering or shielded cable. For data above OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE, NCSC as the national technical authority can provide consultancy, vulnerability assessment and assurance, and ONR can involve the UK National Authority for Counter Eavesdropping.
