Information and assets are sanitised for reuse or securely destroyed with appropriate, where relevant certified, equipment and services, for hard copy and digital media alike, with tracking at every stage and destruction certificates. Mobile paper destruction does not meet the national standard particle size for material above OFFICIAL, and transit to off-site destruction brings risks to manage (for example a two-person rule). SNI on rented printers and multifunction devices, and off-site archiving of long-life SNI, are handled through the classified contracts process.
