Ofcom gives each Category 1, 2A and 2B service an annual notice requiring a transparency report with specified information (Schedule 8), in a set format, submitted and published by set dates, complete and accurate in all material respects. Status: section in force since 10 January 2024 but it bites only on designated services; Ofcom's register was published on 10 July 2026, after which transparency notices follow.
