Audio capture, particularly continuous, is more intrusive than video and needs much greater justification: any audio capability should be switched off by default and used only in exceptional circumstances, for instance by a trigger switch; recording sound and pictures continuously is unlikely to be justified in most circumstances. This also applies to meeting room recorders and video conferencing apps.
