Five conditions attach to the independent body. It performs the assignment impartially, independently and objectively. During the assignment it is not bound by non-disclosure or similar agreements with the operator that would restrict the supervisory authority's access to relevant information. It is able to protect assignment-related information securely. It uses information obtained in the audit only to carry out that audit. It destroys the information once the assignment is complete unless something else has been agreed with the operator under supervision. The general advice adds that the authority should not engage a body with business relationships, advisory engagements or other dependencies on the operator, and should require the body to report any conflict of interest that arises during the assignment.
This control maps to 2 controls across 2 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 2 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
