Before going into processing or handling areas, visitors are either briefed in the site's hygiene and food safety rules or kept under escort the whole time (11.3.4.1); all visitors, managers included, remove jewellery and loose objects per the GMPs and 11.3.3.8 and wear suitable clothing and footwear (11.3.4.2); visitors with visible signs of illness are kept out of food areas (11.3.4.3); visitors use the proper staff entrances and follow handwashing and personnel practices (11.3.4.4).
