Undertakings must maintain adequate liquidity to settle obligations when due even under stress, draw up and update a liquidity risk management plan with short-term cash flow projections (medium and long term when requested), and submit it with supervisory information; small and non-complex and approved undertakings are exempt, and matching or volatility adjustment users may combine it with their Article 44 plan. Supervisors gain powers to require stronger liquidity and to suspend distributions, bonuses and, as a last resort, life redemption rights. The duty to inform of MCR non-compliance or risk within three months applies whenever it is observed, not only at quarterly calculation dates.
