On CCCS's application the District Court or the High Court's General Division may declare a practice unfair, enjoin the supplier (including by interim injunction) and add accompanying orders for a period of up to five years: periodic publication of the order at the supplier's expense; written notification of the order to each consumer before contracting, with the consumer's written acknowledgement; a statement of the order on every invoice or receipt; and written notice to CCCS within 14 days of changes in business premises or internet addresses, conversion to an LLP, schemes of arrangement, receivership, judicial management or winding up. Individual suppliers and partners may also be ordered to report Fifth Schedule events (starting as a supplier, joining or leaving a supplier as employee, director, partner or manager, or crossing a 15 per cent shareholding). Breach allows extension of the period to ten years in aggregate, and a consumer contracted in breach of the notification order may cancel within six months. The supplier may be ordered to reimburse CCCS's publication costs.
