Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 21-22: Entry to premises: access, inspection, documents and assistance

What does 21-22 require?

An investigation officer, with authorised assistants, may enter premises reasonably suspected of being used in connection with an unfair practice, normally on at least two working days' written notice (dispensed with where notice could not reasonably be given, on production of authorisation and the required information) or under a warrant. The business must allow inspection and search, photography and audio or video recording, the seizure and examination of relevant goods, and the bringing of equipment, and persons on the premises must produce documents the officer considers relevant, explain them or say where they are, and give the access and assistance the officer requires.
