RICS Rules of Conduct and Global Professional Standards ROC-4: Rule 4: respect, diversity and inclusion

The rule requires respectful treatment of others and active encouragement of diversity and inclusion. Example behaviours: respecting others' rights and being courteous; treating everyone fairly without discrimination on improper grounds (the listed grounds: race; sex; sexual orientation; age; disability; religion or belief; gender reassignment; pregnancy or maternity; marriage or civil partnership); not bullying, victimising or harassing; firms checking that supply chains are free of modern slavery or other workforce abuse; reporting known or suspected abusive labour practices to the proper authorities; working cooperatively; and building an inclusive workplace culture with equal access and opportunity, addressing unconscious bias.
