The lessor or agent asks a prospective tenant only for information of the kinds in the application form plus no more than two documents in each of three categories: identity, financial ability to pay the rent, and suitability for the tenancy. It never asks about the applicant's past tribunal or dispute resolution matters, notices to remedy breach given to or by the applicant, rental bond history or claims, or bank or credit account statements showing transactions.
