At every work stage the members taking part grasp and rank the demands of the carbon management process the owner has set up for the scheme; find the cuts within their reach, ordered by the reduction hierarchy, and move early where the gain is biggest; favour the answers that do most for system-wide reduction; question current practice, whether that is scope, strategy, the outcomes intended, standards, prescriptive specifications, the design approach, the programme or the cost; work with other stakeholders and members to deliver the lowest-carbon answers; quantify the emissions and removals within their reach and log the cuts achieved against the baselines and targets; find lower-carbon alternatives at each rung of the hierarchy, nature-based and circular options included where they fit; and keep any removals in a separate line from emissions and emission cuts in what they report.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
