Subpart V: Electric Power Transmission and Distribution – OSHA Safety and Health Regulations for Construction (29 CFR Part 1926)

OSHA Safety and Health Regulations for Construction (29 CFR Part 1926) 1926.951: 1926.951 Medical services and first aid

Medical services and first aid must be provided as 1926.50 requires. On top of that, first-aid-trained persons must be available whenever employees work on, or in connection with, exposed lines or equipment carrying 50 volts or higher. Field crews of two or more at one location need a minimum of two trained persons on hand. At fixed work locations such as substations, there must be enough trained persons that one can get to any shock-exposed employee within 4 minutes; where the workforce is too small for that, as at a remote substation, every employee at the location must be trained. First-aid training under the subpart's definitions includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
