Subpart H: Hazardous Materials – OSHA General Industry Standards (29 CFR Part 1910)

OSHA General Industry Standards (29 CFR Part 1910) 1910.105: 1910.105 Nitrous oxide

Piped systems used for the in-plant transfer and distribution of nitrous oxide must be designed, installed, maintained and operated in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G-8.1-1964, which is incorporated by reference through 1910.6. The section is a single paragraph, but it places the whole life cycle of a nitrous oxide piping system on the employer: design, installation, maintenance and day-to-day operation must all follow the referenced CGA pamphlet. It applies to piped in-plant transfer and distribution systems only.
