The owner of residential premises listed on the loose-fill asbestos insulation register (or premises covered by a Secretary's Gazette order where it is suspected) must ensure a compliant warning sign is displayed at each place the regulations prescribe; for strata premises the owners corporation must do so on common property. No one may remove, or cause or permit removal of, a compliant sign, except a person authorised to enter under s 126. Maximum penalty 200 penalty units for a corporation and 50 otherwise.
