NSW Fair Trading Act 1987 47C-47D: Comply with prescribed information standards

What does 47C-47D require?

The regulations may prescribe information standards for the supply of goods and services, requiring specified information to be communicated to the person to be supplied and fixing the type, form and manner of communication (section 47C, in addition to ACL section 134 standards). A person who supplies goods or services intended or likely to be used by a consumer and covered by an information standard must comply with it (maximum penalty 50 penalty units), and a person who suffers loss through the absence of the required information may recover it (section 47D).
