New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 17.1.55.C.03: 17.1.55.C.03 Encrypt aggregated data over untrusted networks

When compromise of aggregated agency data would have a significant impact on the agency, agencies must encrypt that data with an approved algorithm and protocol whenever it crosses networks that are insecure or unprotected, for example the Internet, public infrastructure or networks outside agency control.
