New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 17.1.53.C.04: 17.1.53.C.04 Full or partial disk encryption for reduced handling

Where an agency relies on encryption so that IT equipment or media holding classified information can be stored or physically moved under lighter requirements, it should use either: full disk encryption; or partial disk encryption where access controls permit writes ONLY to the encrypted partition that holds the classified information.
