NATO AQAP 2110 - Quality Assurance Requirements for Design, Development, and Production 5.4.12: 5.4.12 Control, report and obtain authority for nonconforming product and concessions

The Supplier has written procedures, put into practice, for identifying, controlling and separating every nonconforming item, treating product of unknown status as nonconforming; the GQAR or Acquirer may disapprove procedures that do not give the needed control. Unless agreed otherwise it notifies them of nonconformities and required corrective actions, and they may reject any rework, repair or use-as-is disposition. Concessions for use, release or acceptance of nonconforming product need their authorisation unless agreed otherwise, apply equally to outsourced processes and purchased product (External Provider requests reviewed by the Supplier first), and are recorded with authorised quantity or expiry, with compliance restored when an authorisation expires. Where a supplier's product that went through GQA turns out nonconforming on receipt, the Supplier informs them. SRD.1: the GQAR may refuse repairs that remove later repair options or use-as-is dispositions that harm connected systems; the concession process itself is fixed by contract or the Quality Plan (SRD.2, against AS9100D 8.7). Base clause: ISO 9001:2015 8.7 (control of nonconforming outputs).
