The programme or project manager selects a requirements management process that the Engineering Technical Authority has approved and puts it into practice: its activities, requirements, guidelines and documentation are tailored and customised for managing requirements across the whole system life cycle. The process manages the product requirements that were identified, baselined and then used to define the product layer, provides bidirectional traceability back to the top-level requirements, and controls changes to the established baselines throughout the life of the system.
