Within eight days of receiving the Article 5 (or earlier Article 4) document the applicant or buyer may withdraw or cancel in writing or by electronic record; the period restarts from a corrective document where the seller's false statement or intimidation kept the consumer from acting. The withdrawal takes effect on dispatch; the seller may not claim damages or penalties, bears the cost of collecting delivered goods, may not charge for use of goods or services already provided, must promptly refund money received for services, and must restore land or buildings altered by the service free of charge; terms less favourable to the consumer are void.
