ITU Radio Regulations and Space Security Standards CS45: CS Article 45: Harmful interference

What does CS45 require?

Every station, whatever its purpose, must be established and run without causing harmful interference to the radio services or communications of other Member States, or of operating agencies they recognize or duly authorize, that work in line with the Radio Regulations (CS 197); each Member State undertakes to require the operating agencies it recognizes or authorizes to observe that rule (CS 198); and Member States recognize the need to take all practicable steps to stop electrical apparatus and installations of every kind from causing such interference (CS 199). The ITU Bureau cites this Article, with RR No. 15.1, as the rule against deliberate interference such as jamming and spoofing of satellite services.
