Italy Workers' Statute (Law 300/1970) Art. 7(4)-(5): Art. 7(4)-(5) Respect the limits on sanctions and wait five days after the written charge

Without prejudice to Law 604/1966 on dismissals, disciplinary sanctions may not make definitive changes to the employment relationship; a fine may not exceed four hours of basic pay, and suspension from work and pay may not exceed ten days. Measures more serious than a verbal reprimand may not be applied before five days have passed from the written charge.
