Part II Title X: Electronic communications (arts 121 to 132-quater) – Italy Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, amended 2018)

Italy Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, amended 2018) Art. 124: Art. 124 Provide itemised billing on request and mask the last three digits of numbers called

Subscribers have the right to receive itemised bills on request at no extra cost (date, start time, number called, type, location, duration and units). Providers must let users communicate and request services from any terminal free of charge using alternative payment means (credit, debit or prepaid cards); those communications do not appear on the subscriber's bill; bills do not show the last three digits of numbers called, the full numbers being available only to contest specific charges, unless the Garante authorises full numbers once alternative payment means are available.
