Taking validated concepts as input, the organization should build each concept into a working solution together with its value realization model; decide whether to develop it in-house or by acquiring, licensing, partnering or outsourcing; find and deal with deployment risks, for example user acceptance, legal requirements, scalability, the budget cycle and timing; review the state of the art so that existing IP rights are not infringed; decide whether the solution could be protected and whether it should be; and create the capabilities that deployment will need, such as promotion, production, supply, partnerships and ecosystems. Outputs: solutions that have been developed, each with its value realization model and value proposition; plans setting out activities, resources, relationships and timing for deploying fully or in stages; and deployment needs and requirements met, IP considerations included.
