At planned intervals top management shall review the FM system to confirm it remains suitable, adequate and effective. The review considers: progress on actions from earlier reviews; changes in internal and external issues; information on FM performance, covering trends in nonconformities and corrective actions, results of monitoring and measurement for both routine and non-routine FM activities, and audit results; opportunities for continual improvement; opportunities to improve services, cut costs or improve environmental and social performance; and changes to the risk profile or to service delivery options or methods. Review outputs shall include decisions on opportunities for continual improvement and on any changes the system needs, such as altering its scope, making it more effective, and adjusting procedures and controls in response to internal or external events. Those events include changes to business and operational requirements, to operating conditions and processes, to contractual obligations, to risk levels or risk acceptance criteria, to resourcing needs, to funding and budget needs, and to the way control effectiveness is measured. The organization shall keep documented information on the review results, share them with relevant interested parties and act on them as appropriate.
