ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems
Annex B: Minimum audit duration – ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems

ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems B.1: Audit outcome requirements that justify duration

What does B.1 require?

Audit duration is justified by what the audit must achieve: assessing how effectively food safety hazards are managed (HACCP and PRPs) as the scheme defines; effective management of the interrelated FSMS processes; the system's ability to meet statutory and regulatory requirements; the organisation's risk-based approach to products, processes and change; whether scheme and organisation requirements are met; and that the scope fits the activities and the audit sample is representative.
