For each trigger event or asset, the appointing party decides if ISO 19650-2 is to apply, considering how large and complex the assets are, how large and complex the response to that trigger event is, and the same for the delivery teams appointed to respond. If part 2 applies and a different organization is its appointing party, the two appointing parties agree and share with each other what each is responsible for under the two parts, and ensure the information requirements of the operational appointing party reach each lead appointed party appointed under part 2. When both parts are in use, the asset information standard should align with the project information standard, and the asset production methods and procedures with those for the project.
