When a complaint arrives, the laboratory shall establish whether it concerns activities for which the laboratory is responsible and, if it does, resolve it. The laboratory that receives it collects the information needed to judge whether the complaint is justified and, where it can, confirms receipt to the complainant and reports progress and the outcome.
