Clause 7.8: Procurement processes – ISO 10006:2017

ISO 10006:2017 7.8.3: Documentation of procurement requirements

What does 7.8.3 require?

Procurement documents should identify the products or services, their characteristics, suitable quality management system requirements and the associated documented information, and should also state procurement responsibility, cost and delivery dates, audit requirements where needed and the right of access to the provider's premises. Customer requirements should be reflected in the procurement documented information. Tender documents such as requests for quotation should be structured so that potential providers give comparable and complete responses. Before issue, procurement documented information should be reviewed to confirm that every product or service requirement and other aspect, such as procurement responsibility, is fully specified.
