Ireland Guidelines for the Responsible Use of AI in the Public Service (2025) 4.7a: Document who is responsible at each lifecycle stage and name an ethics contact in user guides

What does 4.7a require?

The body specifies and records the person responsible for every lifecycle stage of the AI system; when someone can no longer fulfil that role it passes to another person with the competencies to carry it, and the documentation is updated. User manuals and guides set out the ethical considerations clearly and name a contact point, an email or a person, for ethical issues.
