Ireland Guidelines for the Responsible Use of AI in the Public Service (2025) 4.6b: Weigh and monitor social impact, and never deploy AI that risks the democratic process

What does 4.6b require?

The body considers the potential negative effects of an AI system on users' bodily and mental health and monitors the system in operation so that it does not harm users. Because the public service upholds trust in institutions and supports democracy, any AI system that risks harming the democratic process is not deployed.
